Redefining Empowerment Center Inc. is dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities through programs that promote mental wellness, workforce development, education, and community leadership. Our mission is to provide accessible resources and opportunities that help people overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve sustainable personal and economic growth.
We offer a variety of community-based programs designed to promote mental wellness and personal development. These include mental health workshops, leadership training, and workforce readiness initiatives that help individuals overcome barriers and build resilience within their communities.
The Redefining Empowerment Center Inc. (REC) Apprenticeship Program provides hands-on training, professional development, and direct pathways to sustainable careers in high-demand fields.
As a Registered Apprenticeship aligned with the U.S. Department of Labor, REC combines structured learning with real-world experience in a supportive environment. Participants gain industry-recognized credentials, paid work experience, and mentorship from experienced professionals.
The program prepares individuals for careers in behavioral health, community health, and workforce services, equipping them with the skills and support needed for long-term success.

· Community Health Worker
· Community Peer Support
· Community Project Manager
· Home Health Aide
· IT Generalist

· Paid On-the-Job Training: Earn while you learn.
· Mentorship: Receive guidance from experienced professionals.
· Certifications: Gain nationally recognized credentials.
· Career Placement: Transition directly into in-demand jobs upon completion.

· Must be at least 16 years old (some tracks require 18+)
· High school diploma or GED (preferred or required for most tracks)
· Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
· Must meet any physical or regulatory demands of the role
· Willingness to commit to hands-on training and classroom instruction
Additional Requirements May Include:
· Background checks or drug screenings (for healthcare and education-related tracks)

We prioritize applicants from historically underserved communities. You may qualify for additional support if you are:
· A veteran or military-connected individual
· Youth ages 16–24 (especially disconnected or opportunity youth)
· Receiving SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid
· Formerly incarcerated or justice-involved
· A person with a disability
· Unemployed or underemployed
· From a historically underrepresented population

Apprenticeships typically last 12 to 18 months, depending on the program track and individual progress.
